NOMINATIONS OPEN UNTIL MAY 7, 2014
The Governor’s Office is seeking nominations for a new statewide health care Performance Measures Coordinating Committee, required by Engrossed Second Substitute House Bill 2572. The deadline is 5 pm Friday, May 7. The Governor-appointed committee will be a multi-stakeholder committee whose purpose is to set the strategy for identification of and recommend standard statewide measures of health performance to inform public and private health care purchasing, and to propose benchmarks to track costs and improvements in health outcomes. Chaired by the Director of the Washington State Health Care Authority, the committee will include 12 to 20 individuals from across the state representing the following (alphabetically listed):
- Academic experts on health care measurement
- Employers (large and small)
- Federally-recognized Tribes
- Health plans
- Patient groups
- Providers (non-hospital and non-physician)
- State agencies
A one-page form has been developed to facilitate the nomination process. You are welcome to nominate yourself or others, but either requires completion and submission of one form for each nominee. The form is available online and must be submitted following instructions on the form (deadline: 5 pm, May 7, 2014).
