Come on Out and Support the Young Democrats on September 5-7th!
The Clark County Young Democrats are hosting Young Dems from all over the state for a special weekend of events in Vancouver. Democrats of all ages are invited to attend any of the events and show your support for the Young Democrats and important local and statewide issues. The weekend starts out on Friday night with a special reception at The Red Lion Quay followed by the First Friday Art Walk downtown. After breakfast on Saturday morning (hosted by the Clark County Women Democrats), the Young Dems will get some training on door belling at the CCDCC office in preparation for walking some precincts for our candidates.
The evening continues at the Clark County Historical Museum from 4-6pm for a special event featuring 2006 Seattle Jewish Federation shooting victim Cheryl Stumbo and the Washington Alliance for Gun Responsibility to discuss I-594. State Reps Monica Stonier and Sharon Wylie will also speak. The evening concludes with a special exhibition by the Storm City Roller Girls of Vancouver.
On Sunday, the Young Democrats and anyone who wants to join in the fun will register new voters at the Vancouver Farmers Market. After lunch the weekend will conclude with sign waving.
